"Stewardship is an expression of discipleship. Disciples who practice stewardship recognize God
as the source of all they have and are and will be. They know themselves to be recipients and caretakers
of God's many gifts. They are grateful for what they have received and eager to cultivate
their gifts out of love for God and one another."
(Stewardship: A Disciple's Response,
Pastoral Letter of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops)

Please Make Your Gift to the 2017 Annual Catholic Appeal

Our parish conducted the Annual Catholic Appeal in-pew Commitment Weekend on February
18 and 19.
Please remember that the Annual Catholic Appeal is much different than a one-time special collection. It is a pledge campaign where you can make a gift payable in installments.

Annual Catholic Appeal envelopes may be placed in the collection basket if you have not already submitted one. Thank you for your support of the ministries of the Archdiocese of Chicago. You can also send your pledge form in the mail to our Parish Office if you have not done so.

The ACA theme, “Love Your Neighbor As Yourself,” was selected to remind us that our contributions to the Annual Catholic Appeal enable the funded ministries and services to share God’s love with many others in our parish, our Archdiocese, and throughout the world.

Each pledge makes a difference because all parishes participate in the campaign and the gifts of many enable our Archdiocese to deliver needed ministries and services.

Our 2017 goal remains at 6% of the previous year's offertory income - $516,451 - FY 2015-16. Our goal is $30,987. If we exceed the parish goal, St. Tarcissus will receive a rebate of 100% of the funds donated over our goal. After our parish goal is reached in cash, 100% of any additional funds come back to our parish to help to fund our needs.

90th Anniversary Fund

The parish's 90th Anniversary Fund is still receiving contributions. Our goal is have each registered household to contribute $90 to it. This will help us to raise $135,000 to put toward the care of our facility.

As of June 13, 2017 there has been $29,282 collected to this fund. Envelopes are in your monthly packet and also in the church vestibule. If you have not yet contributed, there is still time. Please consider doing this to help us become more financially secure.

St. Tarcissus Bell Fund

Our new bell carillon has been installed. You have probably heard them by now. Many thanks to those who contributed to the bell fund. The Sonata Carillon 's total cost was $ 8,235.

As of June 13, 2017 the amount collected for this fund is $ 8,349. So now the bells are paid for. Enjoy them! We can continue to hear the beautiful sound of the bells marking our lives and calling us to prayer. This was another way to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the parish.

Many thanks to the Catholic Women's Club of St. Tarcissus
who donated $990 to our 90th Anniversary Fund
