CONTRIBUTE - HOW TO DONATE TO SAINT TARS

"Stewardship is an expression of discipleship. Disciples who practice stewardship recognize God
as the source of all they have and are and will be. They know themselves to be recipients and caretakers
of God's many gifts. They are grateful for what they have received and eager to cultivate
their gifts out of love for God and one another."
(Stewardship: A Disciple's Response,
Pastoral Letter of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops)

NEW MONTHLY SECOND COLLECTION FOR CAPITAL NEEDS OF THE PARISH

On the fourth Sunday of each month we will take a second collection, 100% of which will be used here in the parish for capital projects. The first project is to create diagonal parking on Moody Ave. which will cost about $65,000.

If you write a check, write “diagonal parking” on the memo line. We will also add a “capital needs” option to our electronic giving site, Faith Direct. If you want to make a cash donation that is also tax deductible, place it in an envelope with your name on it.

DIFFERENT OPTIONS TO DONATE TO SAINT TARS

  • CONTRIBUTION ENVELOPES - Monthly donation envelope packets are mailed to registered parishioners. You may register at the rectory.

  • ONLINE CONTRIBUTION - Faith Direct enables parishioners to make your Church contributions through either direct debit from your checking/ savings account or through your credit/debit card. No more writing checks or searching for envelopes on the way out the door. Now you can apply the convenience of direct debit to your parish offerings in much the same way as you may now use it to make your mortgage, car or tuition payments. Faith Direct also offers you personalized offertory cards to replace your envelopes for the collection basket. Please join me in enrolling by responding to the mailing you will receive or visit www.faithdirect.net to enroll securely online. Our parish code is IL795.

  • MEMORIAL GIFT - Give a Memorial Gift in honor of a deceased loved one. This can be done through the Parish Office. Envelopes are also available at Malec and Colonial Funeral Homes. At the time of a family member's death, if you would like memorials to be made to Saint Tarcissus Parish / School, please instruct the Funeral Home to use the following in the Death Notice: "In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made to Saint Tarcissus Parish / School."

  • MEMORIAL TREES, BOARDS AND BRICKS - Remember someone with a Leaf on our Memorial Tree or a Plaque on our Memorial Boards in Church. The Memorial Tree is in place for those who would like to memorialize a loved one. We ask for a memorial donation in the amount of $500 for an inscription on each leaf on the tree. If you prefer, there are also the Memorial Boards on the entrance door walls of the vestibule. These plaques can only list one line. We ask for a memorial donation in the amount of $300 for each of these plaques. Anyone interested in memorializing a loved one in either of these locations is kindly asked call the parish office for more details. You may also memorialize or honor someone with a Brick in our Prayer Garden. Please contact the rectory for details on either of the above options. See Our Parish / Parish Prayer Garden - Brick Sale for more information.

  • WILL AND LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES - Have you ever considered honoring your parish when it comes time to make or amend your Will or to choose beneficiaries for your Life Insurance policies? This is a wonderful way to leave a legacy and give a gift that will help to perpetuate the Catholic faith in our local Faith Community. You may designate a specific dollar amount or allocate a percentage for the parish after you have remembered your family. If you would like more information about how to make a gift through your will, please call the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Planned Giving at 312-534-7910. They will give you details on how to ensure that your contribution is given specifically to our parish as you wish. When using an attorney or other professional in making charitable gifts to the parish or school please insure that the gift has the following designation: “The Catholic Bishop of Chicago, a corporation sole, for benefit of St. Tarcissus Parish/School”. Additional information can be obtained by calling the Archdiocese Department of Stewardship and Development at 312-534-7910 or by visiting: http://legacy.archchicago.org/departments/stewardship_dev/stewardship_dev.shtm or http://plannedgiving.archchicago.org.

  • GARDEN BRICKS - Consider purchasing a Brick in our Parish Prayer Garden, which was established in the Spring of 2008. These bricks can be donated in honor of someone or in memory of a deceased relative or friend. See Our Parish / Parish Prayer Garden - Brick Sale for more information.
